Kathy Eggleston advises both large and small enterprises on achieving greater success by aligning their business interests with community interests. A leader in the redevelopment of midtown Ft. Lauderdale, Kathy co-founded Avenue of the Arts Executive Suites, a prime shared office space helping small businesses and professional practices to grow.  For this and her two-decade record of launching community projects that sustain themselves over time, in 2011 she was honored by Leadership Broward as Leader of the Year and “Avenue Executive” was named the city of Fort Lauderdale’s best low-rise commercial renovation of the year.

Kathy previously was an executive for two of South Florida’s largest companies. As vice president-corporate communications, she and her team developed the corporate branding and community relations strategies for automotive giant JM Family Enterprises. During her 11-year tenure, annual revenues grew from $2.4 billion to $7.6 billion and the company was first recognized on the “Best Companies to Work for in America” list in FORTUNE magazine. Prior to JM, Kathy developed campaign communications and executed the town hall strategy to pass a referendum funding uncompensated care at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. More than $100 million is annually realized from this funding source today.

Kathy has served numerous boards including The Donors Forum, Community Foundation of Broward, Knight Foundation’s Community Advisory Committee, and the Entrepreneurs Council of Nova Southeastern University’s Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. She completed her Bachelor of Science Program in Marketing at Drexel University in Philadelphia and the Executive Program for Corporate Division Leaders at the Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego.  A graduate of both Leadership Broward and Leadership Florida, Kathy was selected to the inaugural national class of the Community Leadership Network Institute, a program partnership of The Aspen Institute.
